MMG's Gunplay lived up to his name last year, pulling a pistol on his accountant during a meeting that was captured on surveillance video back in April. He was also accused of stealing a cell phone and gold chain in the incident, but since the guy being assaulted in the clip won't give his testimony, Gunplay is off the hook, according to TMZ.
Gunplay, who'd been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault in the case, will celebrate his good fortune with his family and "a joint." He tells TMZ, "Today I am grateful and blessed that the case was dismissed," adding that the first thing he'd do on Monday is "smoke a joint, relax, play video games, and just be with my loved ones."
Gunplay also plans to get back to the recording studio, saying, "I plan on picking up where I left off with my music and making hits with my upcoming debut album...."
According to TMZ, authorities tried to track down the alleged victim in the surveillance video, but the man's family and co-workers would make excuses for him, telling the court that he was out of town or dealing with a family emergency.
